Sunday Valentine’s Day makes Japanese chocolate companies frown

Looks yummy?!

OF COURSE!!! It's for Valentine's Day on Sunday, 14 Feb 2010.

This year’s Valentine’s Day will fall on a Sunday. This is bad news for Japanese chocolate companies, because it means almost no women will be in their offices that day to givegiri choco to their male co-workers:

According to a survey cited in the above news clip, 58% of respondents said they will not give anyone “giri choco” this year. Some stores are hoping to lure customers with fancy stuff like chocolate fondue sets, but it’s unlikely to make up for the loss of obligatory chocolates for co-workers.

Giri Choco is chocolate given on Valentine's day. This is often given to co-workers, casual acquaintances, etc. This is generally reciprocated on White day.

My Story

It's time for me to get a bit personal..

Since this is my blog.. and I usually post about random stuff and news, now I want to share a bit of my story.

For today's 'menu' is the story of my Love life.

It is true that I had a relationship before... with someone I NEVER expect that he is...... *thinking of the suitable word*... worse should I say. And that's not in the 'ingredient list' of out menu today.

3 years after I ended my relationship in 2006, I could say that I actually found someone.. I wasn't looking for someone in my life at that time. Somehow this guy made me change again.

It was somewhere in September 2009, during night, while waiting for my cousin to pick me up. I was all alone to think about it, yet my senior couldn't stay with me for the waiting.. He has to go somewhere. Yet he asked his friend to help him to wait for me. *I can say he is very nice senior*.

The friend, yeah, he then agreed since he had nothing to do. So we sat in the lobby, waiting for my cousin to pick me up in ITB. We talked a lot, shared a lot like birthday, favorites, stories, even a bit personal stories like home and love.. *can you imagine that? During the first time we actually meet and talked to each other*

I was kinda impress about his stories, and found that we had common stuffs in our life.. Like hadn't in a relationship for 3 years after the last relationship, month of birthday and stuff. I was interested even more about him..

Ever since that night, I getting closer and closer to him, without noticing that I actually felt for him. OMG!!! Somehow this guy changed me again.... I was into relationship ever since the last one. Never realize it until one of my friend asked me about my friendship with him.. *sigh*

Then I tend to 'stalk' him via Facebook, talk and chat with him via MSN, hang out, etc. Until one time I found a girl that looks like interested into him for me.. I tried to investigate... yet never had an evil mind in my head.. At the end I gave up on looking at the girl..

Then one day, somehow my heart turned to cold.. I suddenly feeling the lost of love in me... and I feel like I don't trust love anymore.

I still do love him, yet my heart changed.. There was something that made my heart changed. This is not a matter of 'liking' this person, but 'loving' him. I maybe sound like emo, but I am not.. I just wanted to share my love story.

I bet you're asking what happened next! Well, I still friend and seeing him quite a while. However I feel that I can never tell him how a feel unless my heart is open again. Not to blame him, but he was the reason of my cold heart. Because I'm not his type.. But I don't care... Because I can't afford to lose a friend anymore.

Let's see, how long it will take to open my heart again? By who? Perhaps I shall wait another 3 or so years to get my heart again..

Ah well, yeah... my story is a bit boring, but at least I share it to the world... Will you tell me about your love story? I would LIKE to read it.. ^^ please do mail me under subject: [Love] or comment this..

I LOVE YOU ALL!!~
*time to get working and find some news or stuff*

No Featured Artist This Month?!

Hello guys, As you can see from the title of this post itself, I'm very sorry for not posting any new featured artist of my blog for this month.

But I can't promise you that I MIGHT just post it.. if I feel like I want to.

The reasons, I'm just too lazy to find the next line-up. And those suggested artists aren't good enough for this month.
*I didn't mean that they are not good, just I usually Post for New Released, New Artist, New Singles, Hot News..etc. *

But don't worry, who knows, maybe tomorrow I put some of your favorite artist here.
So, any suggestion?

PLease do mail me, with reasons why should I post them, maybe a link.

So, give me sometimes to find who... (planning to find one from Korean Music this time)

Heavy Snow Puts UK in Deep Freeze

I happened to hear some news from friends in UK and other countries in Europe about having heavy snow in their country. Thus I checked some news from MSNBC.com and other websites to read the stories.

This report is dated on 6 Jan 2010, about UK having heavy snow causing highways, airports, trains and streets to close by the 6 inches or more snow.

With this condition, it is hard for your children to have fun and play in the snow.

More story below:

LONDON - Blustery winter weather paralyzed Britain and parts of Europe Wednesday, frustrating air travelers, stranding motorists and keeping thousands from their jobs and schools. London area airports — including Heathrow, Europe's busiest — suffered widespread delays and cancellations.

Forecasters blamed the prolonged cold snap on an arctic weather system that promises more cold weather through the month. Britain's weather office warned that, if the cold keeps up through the end of February, this will be the country's coldest winter in three decades.

"There is no sign of it coming to an end — it goes on as long as we can read into next week," warned Clare Allen of MeteoGroup, a private sector weather forecaster.

Festival Of Abusive Language??!!

I actually found it very interesting (and surprised!). I never thought that there such thing of abusive language festival...

This festival took place in Japan where about 300 people gathered a temple in Tochigi prefecture on the night of the 31st so they could let out some stress by screaming bad words at Saishoji temple’s “Festival of Abusive Language.”

Here’s a news clip that includes a couple foreigners joining in the fun:

Here's some quote taken from 1993 New York Times
"Once a year, we can get rid of our pent-up frustrations," said Ryoken Numajiri, the head priest of the Saishoji Temple. The temple is the headquarters for the Akutare Matsuri, which might best be translated as the "naughty festival" or perhaps the "festival of abusive language." Plenty Worth Abuse
